Suggestion: Replace Apper with Muon Discover in favorites menu

Hi,
I installed the latest F23 RC and found Apper in the favorites menu, it is
pretty much unusable for application discovery with the hawkey backend, I
suggest putting Muon Discover in the favorites menu and removing Apper
(from the favorites).
This should be much better for new users and testers/reviewers.

long delays on kde startup (intermittent)

Recently (last month?) I'm seeing intermittently, long delays on kde
startup. The startup draws a horizontal bar, and it hangs maybe 75% of the
way for a Long time (30 sec)?
This is on a very fast machine that usually starts kde in a few seconds.
Any hints at troubleshooting?

KDE (taskbar) panel and multiple monitors and latest kernels, oh my

I have a multi-layered problem here that's bugged the snot out of me for
weeks. I've finally given up finding an answer myself and turn to the list
for help.
Here's my issue(s). I'm running F22 on a Lenovo ThinkPad T440S laptop. I
have 2 monitors attached to the laptop, one using the mini-DP port (27")
the other the external VGA port (21"). As I have meetings all over the
office, I frequently unplug the display cables for meetings, then return to
my desk and reconnect, and this is when things go pear shaped.
When I connect the monitors back the taskbar switches to the 27" monitor.
I don't want it there, but couldn't find a way to move it, other than to
remove the panel and add it back to the laptop display. Is there another
way of doing that? I've tried everything I can think of and nothing works.
Second, for some reason, the newer kernels (4.1.10 and 4.2.3, I'm on 4.1.8
now), upon booting into them blanks my laptop screen leaving me with two
displays. WTH is that happening and how do I stop it?
And third, when I removed the original taskbar panel to move it to the
laptop display, I lost the Fedora 'Start button' logo and have only the KDE
logo. Yes, it's minor, but it irritates me, so is there any way to fix
that?
I'm not a Fedora or KDE n00b, but this is driving me nuts. Any ideas?

Multiple screens is (still) a bit of an unsolved problem in Qt, not related to driver.

Dolphin drag-and-drop

I have several Dolphin windows, some with split panes, taking up a lot
of screen space. Each pane contains multiple nested folders and it's
not possible to have the entire set in view at once, either because
they're scrolled out of sight or because one window is overlapping
another.
If I want to drag and drop a file from one pane to a specific position
in another (such as to a closed folder in the target pane), they have
to both be visible before I start. IOW after grabbing the file with the
left button (and keeping the button depressed) the target pane will not
pop to the top of the window stack so I can point at the destination
folder, and if the folder happens to be visible it won't open so I can
walk down the tree. This is less functional than other systems
(Windows, MacOS and no doubt other Linux file browsers).
Is there a way to configure Dolphin to get the desired behaviour? I
know I can use right-click copy and paste but that's not what I'm
asking.

I have been experiencing the above freezing of Dolphin at Fedora 21
since this summer.
It takes up to a minute to remove a file/directory.
Gwenview demonstrates the same behavior -- takes a while to become
active when stared..
Removal of the bookmarks.xml helps indeed,
but this file, together with bookmarks.xml.bak, appears again when
woken up from the sleep mode
and has the same size as before deletion,
so I wonder where does it get information and how to remove this
information permanently?

I fully agree. This article is far from being informative.
Beyond that, we (my company) recently upgraded ~20 laptops and
workstations to F22 (w/ KDE 5.4) up from F21 (w/ KDE 4.x) and I must
admit that amount of noise was relatively low.
We do see some issues with plasmashell slowly leaking memory and
several key features are missing *, but all in all, Plasma 2 is *far*
*far* *far* better than the initial experience we had when we switched
from Fedora 8 to Fedora 9 (KDE 4.0).
