Has anyone tried running firewall-config in F22?
When I run it the dialog comes up requesting the root password and I can make changes. But, sometimes (most times but not always) I get a transparent notification appearing in the systray and the "i" displayed in blue. It remains transparent until after I enter the root password, maybe a minute or so, and then you can see....
"System policy prevents inspecting and changing firewall" (but that isn't true)
But during the time the dialog in the systray is showing I can't launch any additional applications from the launcher.
Without clicking "Cancel" (it doesn't appear select-able) the notification will go away after may 3~5 minutes. And the launcher is working again.
If you can't laugh at yourself, others will gladly oblige.
i just started to try SDDM instead KDM on F21 and i can connect with VNC
but not login because it don't happen anything when press a key which is
not really impressing

I'm working on packaging an application and have found that the
developer has modified a few files from each library and included
with his application.
I'd like an opinion on whether:
I also enable source packages and issued:
dnf reqoquery --whatrequires qt-examples
dnf repoquery --whatrequires libqxt-devel
and it returned zero packages.
libqxt is no longer maintained:
and that project is recommending that you do what the develop did... which
not use the entire library and just pick out the parts you need.
qt-examples by the name seems to imply the same thing. These are examples
be modified and used.
The fact that repoquery returned zero for both tends to support this IMO...
What do you folks think?
I've seen some discussion about settings not being migrated to
kf5/plasma and am much disheartened about it. I just updated my laptop
to F22 and noted that my launcher favorites were lost. What should I
file a bug against? Is there one already?

I've installed the Beta 3 version of F22 KDE Live in a VirtualBox VM.
This was a clean install, i.e. get a fresh VM, boot the Live CD image,
then install to disk by clicking on the button. My host machine is F21
has plenty of horsepower and an NVidia graphics card under the
proprietary driver. I also installed the VBox Guest Additions and ran
"dnf update" in the guest.
After logging in, the resulting Plasma DE is unusable. Panel menus pop
up but windows don't appear on the desktop; in fact nothing appears
there except the root background.
Other Fedora installations (F21 Workstation) work correctly in the same
Since this is KDE specific I thought I'd ask here before taking it to
the Test list.
Clean/fresh install of F22 with KDE last night, and up to this point,
the desktop has frozen solid about 3/4 times now, as in no mouse, no
keyboard, nothing. Have to do a hard reboot to get it working.
Nvidia graphics card with nouveau driver (no nvidia drivers)
All latest updates installed.
Its frozen during System Settings, using evolution email, or just
starting to open a browser.
Has this already been noticed or reported before by chance?
