panel and desktop broken
by Glenn Holmer
>From time to time, I've seen that the panel, while it appears, becomes
unresponsive (right- or left-click does nothing). When this happens, the
desktop (right-click) also becomes non-responsive.
Normally, I've been able to recover from this by dropping to console and
issuing "systemctl restart sddm", but this morning even that doesn't work.
Anybody else seen this? Know of a workaround or fix?

Problems with kmail on F22
by José Abílio Matos
Hi,
I have problems with one of my email accounts in kmail on F22.
One of the agents is stuck on one folder, always stopping at 11% and after a long timeout, the agent says "Connection established" but it does not update the account until akonadi is restarted.
Using akonadi console I see:
Identifier: akonadi_imap_resource_23
Type: IMAP E-Mail Server
Status: Online, Running (11%)
Status Message: Syncing folder '*****'
Capabilities: Resource
Mimetypes: message/rfc822
The last updates to the folder seem to be from May, so the problems seems to happen for some time but only recently I noticed.
Regards,

KDEINIT5 Crashes on "Special Window Settings"
by Emilio Recio
So I just upgraded from F21 to F22, and amongst the myriad of issues
(e.g.: system tray woes), the main frustrating one, is a KDEINIT5 crash
when I am trying to have Pidgin, Konsole, or any application actually,
present on all virtual desktops.
Right click on a window's title bar/top border. Select "More actions"
and "Special Window Settings..." and I just get a "We are sorry,

because kdeinit5 (deleted) does not provide a bug reporting address.

T-Bird compose problem - KDE only
by Ed Greshko
This is a very odd problem. It happens for me on a newly installed F22 as well as an F21->F22 upgraded system.
Start an instance of Thunderbird and konsole.
In T-Bird pick "write" and then enter several lines of text in the body of the message.
Then do an ls or something in knosole to get some text.
Copy and then paste this text below the text you've just typed.
Position the cursor at the start of the pasted text and hit backspace a few times. Instead of the text being shifted up, a line of text will be deleted. So far, this seems to only happen with text taken from konsole. If I copy/paste text from Chrome I will not see this problem.
Can someone try this to confirm? I think it should be a konsole BZ but not certain.

Update Quassel / Security problem
by Markus Slopianka
Hi.
A week or so ago I discussed the Quassel package on fedora-kde IRC. The 0.11.0
package available in the Fedora repos contains an security issue. See
http://quassel-irc.org/node/127 for details.
According to Rex the Quassel package maintainer tuxbrewr is no longer active.
Since then I use an updated package from
https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/heffer/quassel/
No problems so far.
Could anyone of you with the appropriate rights please push that package as
update to F21, F22, and Rawhide?
Not only does it fix the security issue, it also comes with Qt5 support and a
systemd service.
CC'ing Heffer who maintains the Quassel COPR.

Firefox on plasma 5.3 stops scrolling all of a sudden. Auto-scroll does
work but the mousewheel does not. Tried it on two different installations.
Same results.

kdewallet problem
by Ed Greshko
Just upgraded on my main system from F21 to F22. Everything went pretty smoothly and I'm finding and adjusting things that changed due to the upgrade.
One thing I've not been able to figure out, and which worked on my VM's, is how to get to manage my old kwallet. I need/want to run the old version since I use Chrome and it uses the old version.
I was using a gpg encrypted wallet but there seems to be issues with that. So, before the upgrade I exported my wallet to xml and moved the walllet files. When Chrome started, it prompted to create a new wallet and did that just fine.
Now I want to import the old contents. But when I try to run Konsole outputkwalletmanager Konsole outputkwalletmanager kwalletmanager it goes into the "background" and no gui appears.
Konsole output
[egreshko@meimei kwallet]$ kwalletmanager
Connecting to deprecated signal QDBusConnectionInterface::serviceOwnerChanged(QSt
ring,QString,QString)
Konsole output
egreshko@meimei kwallet]$ ps -eaf | grep kwalle
egreshko 6714 1 0 10:46 ? 00:00:00 /usr/bin/kwalletd5
egreshko 6720 1 0 10:46 ? 00:00:01 /usr/bin/kwalletd
egreshko 8706 1 0 11:45 pts/2 00:00:00 kwalletmanager
Any idea what may be going wrong?
