If it's any help, all search functions here are extremely fast and
$ kmail --version
$ akonadictl -v
$ rpm -q kdepim-runtime
$ which akonadi_baloo_indexer
/usr/bin/which: no akonadi_baloo_indexer in (/usr/local/bin:/home/garry/.local/bin:/home/garry/.cabal/bin:/usr/local/tora/bin:/home/garry/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin)
$ rpm -q kf5-akonadi-search

There was a gpgme update last night and this morning I notice
that kmail doesn't work any longer.
When I start it from the command line, I get the error message:
kmail: relocation error: /lib64/libKF5Gpgmepp-pthread.so.5:
symbol gpgme_pubkey_algo_string, version GPGME_1.1 not defined in
file libgpgme.so.11 with link time reference
Is anyone else experiencing broken task switcher rendering? I.e. the
shadow of the task switcher frame renders, but the contents is missing
(reps. just what was previously rendered on the screen), like ? Same
behaviour if you drag a window to a window corner. Seeing this on
Rawhide and two generations of Intel IGPs (Ivybridge and Skylake).
Started probably two-three weeks ago. Happends with any OpenGL
compositor rendering backend, works with Xrenderer though.
I have been having problems related to my Plasma 25 install on multiple levels.
1. Sound is unclear and there is a lot of noise. I also hear random crackle/blip from time to time. There a blip I hear when I connect my earphones.
This all seems like a hardware problem to me. Possibly the speakers on my 2 month old system have give up. I tried older ISO to see if it is a software problem but it occurs on older version of Fedora and Ubuntu too.
That being said the biggest problem is software based.
2. The earphone detection is broken. It has a mind of its own. It may or may not recognize my earphone. I have to either kill pulseaudio or restart session to get sound.
3. Audio settings tell me there are three recording devices on my system - Internal Microphone, Microphone, and Headphone Microphone. The first and last one makes sense but not the Microphone. Which device is it?
Do you guys have similar experiences or ideas on how to fix it?
After a multi-package update in fc24 today I'm seeing the
plasma-workspace-5.8.5-1 with nvidia304.134-2,
kernels 4.9.13-100, 4.9.12-100
kf5 packages mainly 5.31.0

I've updated 2 systems to Plasma 5.9.3 and ksnapshot seems slightly broken.
I could not get a snapshot of "Window Under Cursor" no matter what I did
I got Full Screen. In the case of one system with dual monitors I got
both screens. I changed Window Behavior to "Click to focus" just in
case. That made no difference.
I tried this on a VM that had not been updated and it works as
expected. So, I think the Plasma update is causing this.
Fedora Users List - The place to go to get others to do the work for you
I have a problem reading the "Fedora rawhide compose report" from the
devel and test fedora mailing lists on kmail.
The problem is that it can take a long time to display those message. At
least more than 5 minutes. I am not sure if the problem is the length of
message or something else.
This only started to happen recently, in the last month or so. I do not
remember exactly when this started to happen.
Those are the only messages where I have this problem. I have yet to find
other message where this happens. And even for this messages since they come
from a mailing list and kmail is able to retrieve the details, it is enough to
right click over the message immediately and choose the option to read in the
web "Open the message in the mailing list archive (web)".
I'm running Fedora 25 on a Thinkpad X1 Carbon (4th generation). I have
Libreoffice 5.2.6 installed. While working in presenter my laptop
becomes unresponsive and then crashes every couple of hours when working
on a presentation. Not sure what's going on or even how to try and debug it.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions...
I recently updated my laptop (Fedora 25) to kernel 4.9.12-200, I'm
running VMware workstation 12, my linux and mac VM's still run fine but
the windows 7 VM crashes after I log in and I get this in all my open
kernel:usercopy: kernel memory exposure attempt detected from
ffff892722851000 (anon_vma_chain) (4096 bytes)
Thanks in advance for any help...
