Firefox WebRender fails on fresh F33 KDE install due to missing 'libglvnd-gles'.
[GFX1-]: Failed to load EGL library: FEATURE_FAILURE_EGL_LOAD_3 [GFX1-]: Failed GL context creation for WebRender: 0
Fresh F33 KDE install from latest respin iso (F33-KDE-x86_64-LIVE-20210129.iso):
dnf history libglvnd-gles No transaction which manipulates package 'libglvnd-gles' was found
Also booting to respin iso live session and doing 'dfn list intalled' does not list 'libglvnd-gles'.
Discussion here https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2021-d8c4f1d99f indicates 'libglvnd-gles' was installed by default at least on some previous Fedora KDE versions. I have not gone through previous isos to see if it's just the respin missing the library or if it has been missing longer. FF Webrender is starting to be enabled by default on KDE w/ AMD and Intel gpus (according to koji changelog) so the missing library should be installed by default on KDE spin.
In the last day or so my system has been showing long delays (> 30 secs)
when doing a "su -" or "ssh" from an konsole terminal application that
has been opened as a manual session setup at KDE startup.
Investigating the konsole has the environment variable
"XAUTHORITY=/var/run/sddm/xauth_nsAoIs". Now if you open a konsole from
a right hand mouse button click popup on the desktop, that konsole has
"XAUTHORITY=/tmp/xauth-1002-_0" and suffers no delays. Opening konsole
from the main "F" start menu has "XAUTHORITY=/var/run/sddm/xauth_nsAoIs"
and so has delays.
Any ideas on what is going on here ? There was an update to sddm
