It's time for a Fedora 42 blocker review meeting! We have 3 proposed blockers and 1 proposed freeze exception for Final. Here is a handy link which should show you the meeting time in your local time: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=Fedora+41+Blocker… The meeting will be on Matrix. Click the link above to join in a web client - you can authenticate with your FAS account - or use a dedicated client of your choosing. If you have time this weekend, you can take a look at the proposed or accepted blockers before the meeting - the full lists can be found here: https://qa.fedoraproject.org/blockerbugs/ . Remember, you can also now vote on bugs outside of review meetings! In switching from Gnome to KDE, would I be wise to completely remove gnome and default gnome applications from my system, even if my installed fedora flavor is the default workstation/gnome? Thanks.

Wayland equivalent to xev?

I'm getting occasional pop-up dialogues (KDE/Wayland) but am not sure where exactly they're coming from. They happen when running Steam games and ask for authorisation to enable input, but the meaning is unclear and I want to check if they come from Steam itself or from something in the system, or kwin, plasmashell or what. poc

We need KDE aarch64 coverage for F42 release candidates

Hi folks, the first F42 Beta RC just dropped: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/test-announce@lists.fedorapro… Since KDE is now release blocking not only on x86_64, but also on aarch64, we need KDE folks to participate in testing and make sure all KDE-related test cases are covered (Basic and Beta milestone). Especially for aarch64, where we simply don't have the capacity to test it all. I wrote a testing guide for the previous test cycle, it's here: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/kde@lists.fedoraproject.org/t… Since the last time, we've overhauled our testcase_stats webpage, and you can now easily see KDE coverage for all test cases (so from the guide, ignore everything saying that determining per-desktop coverage is difficult - now it's simple!). See the current coverage here: https://openqa.fedoraproject.org/testcase_stats/42/ Please pay particular attention to these sections: https://openqa.fedoraproject.org/testcase_stats/42/#Release-blocking%20envi… and https://openqa.fedoraproject.org/testcase_stats/42/#Release-blocking%20desk… Currently KDE is completely untested, with a red background.
