You can also just hit the ESC key after the boot selection and it will
show you the output. That way, you see it when you're interested, and not
if you aren't.
For EFI systems you need to: grub2-mkconfig -o
Also, I was getting all kinds of "grub2 4096 sector unsupported errors"
when running grub2-mkconfig.

It was suppose to have been fixed, but obviously not. If you get the
error, it is recommended to add
this line to your /etc/default/grub: GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER="true"
