Well, it "works" via https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=362880
but according to https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=382487
they need to tweak the size of the supplied app indicator icons.  The artwork isn't at the proper resolution.
Should be a relatively simple fix, hopefully.  Just need people to star that problem report.  Hopefully it won't
be like the original issue, which went through unstable and beta but didn't get fixed until the issue surfaced
in the stable code.

So as long as Chrome supports libappindicator wouldn't that
automatically work in KDE as it is libappindicator is derived from
KStatusNotifier. Are they not drop in replacement for each other?

[sarcasm]X11, libappindicator, KStatusNotifier, Message tray, etc. wow
we make third party developer's life a cake walk.[/sarcasm]
