Ideas? Not really. I just wanted to note that I did the same update about 19hrs ago
and only because I hadn't done it in a while I rebooted. Everything is just fine,
including sound. This system has only KDE installed.
I rebooted and (touch wood) it seems to be working now. No idea why it
failed as the update didn't touch the kernel and IIRC tracer didn't
tell me to restart anything other than the login session.
