We started the process of formalizing the kde-sig to form a working group while back (Mar 11), starting here: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/kde/2014-March/013196.html
In particular, see https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_Plasma_Product/Governance
This poll seems a bizarre way of choosing the best way forward. Surely if you are going to ask anyone, you should ask KDE users.
Of course user feedback is absolutely encouraged and welcome, but *someone* has to ultimately make that decision, and I feel strongly that this working group is the best ones to entrust with that job.

Only if they take into account what current KDE users would like.
Incidentally, Kevin Kofler's original post seemed to suggest that Firefox would be completely removed as an option, since he said then that users who "who absolutely want Firefox can simply install it from the repository", which I took to refer to the Firefox repository.
There seems to me to be a real danger of KDE shooting itself in the foot, something it has shown in the past to be well capable of.

I mean the Fedora repository, of course.
This discussion is not about removing anything from Fedora, but about what to ship as the default browser on the KDE Plasma live image.

Apologies.

But isn't Konqueror already the default KDE browser? I thought I had to "yum install" Firefox after installing Fedora-20/KDE, whereas Konqueror was already installed.
I'm afraid I find the fact that I can use Firefox under Windows and Android as well as under Fedora and CentOS a great advantage.

It is, now, but it looks like this is going to change (most likely to either Rekonq or Firefox, it's a close call; out of those 2, I hope Rekonq will win).

Right, and I think that is the way it should be. This is what is really being discussed in this thread.
