KRunner - clicking on PDF result opens in Gnome viewer

Hi

I have Fedora 31 KDE spin. I have the following problem:

1. Open KRunner by Alt+F2

2. Type "pdf" in the box

3. Click on any PDF file from the search result

4. The file is opened in a Gnome application

I don't know the name of the Gnome application that comes up.

Opening PDF files from Dolphin or by xdg-open correctly opens the file 
in Okular. The problem is only when opening from KRunner. And I don't 
even have Gnome desktop installed.

Anything I should check before filing a bug report with Fedora or KDE?

System Settings -> Personalization -> File Associations -> application/pdf

You can check there the Application Preference Order

Thanks. That setting is fine. Okular is first, followed by GNOME's evince.
As I said, PDF files directly open with Okular when opened from Dolphin or
even xdg-open. The problem is only with KRunner.

I guess I'll file a bug report with KDE.

Works fine here. Tried changing the order to Evince first (click Apply) 
then change back to Okular as the default again?

Tried that. Made no difference.

Btw, I noticed that the problem happens only with PDF files in the 
"Document" category. When I type pdf in KRunner, there are some results 
in "Recent Documents" and clicking on those files open in Okular! But 
the ones under "Document" category open in evince. May be the two sets 
are produced by different KRunner plugins and probably handled by 
different codes.
