Only the default decoration changed... perhaps you had manually set the decoration at some point?

As far as window decoration goes, yes, the default was inadvertently set to plastique (instead of breeze) in the 5.7.1 update, and will be fixed in kwin-5.7.2-2 , see my comment elsewhere on the topic: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/kde@lists.fedoraproject.org/th...

surely - as nearly anything to get a less ugly desktop back :-)
in case of the program starter icon the "fix" for all others changed it for me while that decoration stuff did not change in both cases

That sounds probable, as it did not happen on my machine either.
I have encountered another issue though: Local Folders in KMail have developed a habit of disappearing -- that is, they are clearly still present, KMail will download new messages to them and inform me of new email, but the folders do not display.
A logout temporarily solves the issue but it keeps recurring.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Best regards, Tom

I suspect you don't need a full logout, maybe just restarting akonadi would be enough (which also happens when you logout/login):
$ akonadictl restart
