I'm running a beta of digikam5 under fedora 23. Previously with digikam4 there was a geotagging option under the Image menu. In digikam5 the Image menu has become the Item menu, but the geotagging option is no longer there.
Has it moved somewhere else, or is it not implemented yet?
Regards,
Chris

That feature does not currently build correctly at the moment, though I've been lax to bug upstream about it yet

Shame. Thanks for the update, anyway. I guess I'll have to stick to digikam 4 for now.

Turns out the missing feature was a fault of mine, it should be fixed now.

OK, looks like -0.6.beta3 build still missed a related build dependency, I've queue'd a -0.7.beta3 build now that should hopefully fix it.

Sorry for the delay in replying. I can confirm that geotagging works in digikam-5.0.0-0.7.beta3.
Do you have a bugzilla or anywhere else for reporting other bugs in digikam? I noticed that panorama's no longer work because of a dependency on pto2mk. According to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=351433 this should be fixed in 5.0.0, but it's still broken in this rpm.

Chris

I'd say bugs generally should be reported upstream at bugs.kde.org (unless you have suspicions that it is fedora-specific, then bugzilla.redhat.com).
As for the bug and fix you referenced, I believe that fix was committed after beta3 release. We'll want to retest once we can get digikam-5.0.0- beta4 (or newer) packaged(*)
(*) beta4 introduced dependencies on newer versions of libkipi, that will be included in kde-apps-16.04, which is packaged yet.
