Most of the time I use dnf for updates. But sometimes I click on the software updates icon in the systray which utilizes packagekit. I know it is best to stick with one method.....but....
Is there a way to merge the histories of both methods to easily look back on what was done/when without having to rely on memory and manual sorting?

Right now, no, but there is a bug for tracking this issue[1].
