Hi
One of my users has a problem with thunderbird popping up loads of empty notifications in the kde notifications thing, (i) icon in system tray.
Can anyone suggest how I switch these off.
Thanks
Roderick

As far as I know, thunderbird lacks notification support (firefox seems to have it though). For me, it uses popups from it's systray icon, mostly for new-mail, which is configurable via Edit->Preferences->General->When new messages arrive->Show an alert

Come to think of it, I think I do recall there being a thunderbird/firefox addon or 2 that provides some sort of notification support... you may want to check which addons this user has installed too.

ok thanks for the ideas. There were no addons, but there was a folder that imap was subscribed to that didnt exist which was generating the empty messages. I've fixed that now so the problem is gone.
Thanks again

Interesting. I'm seeing the same thing. How did you find out which imap-folder was the problem?

It couldn't be opened. Thunderbird would just run the spinner and these empty messages would pop up every me you clicked on it.
