Just tried out openvpn in 
kde-plasma-networkmanagement-0.9-0.53.20110616git.nm09.fc15.x86_64.

Works, but

1. doesn't show any status information.  Everything simply says 'not
available'.
2. Shouldn't root permission be required to setup vpn?
