Yes, I'd already done that. Although the symptoms are the same
as reported in
the bug link Mary Ellen gave, the error messages aren't, and this is a kde-
fedora-updated F10, not F11.
(cheese:6176): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: cannot register existing
type
`FluTsPatInfo'
[ ... ]
(cheese:6176): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **:
g_object_class_install_property:
assertion `G_IS_PARAM_SPEC (pspec)' failed
Segmentation fault
I think those are all warnings from glib, and possibly not relevant;
I'd still be tempted to blame the segfault on the same root cause as
the F11 case. What's your version of libv4l?
I thought it was looking for glibc, but
Package glibc-2.9-3.i686 already installed and latest version
glibc: standard core C libraries
glib2: low-level library for GTK and GNOME
I think the warnings above are about glib2 issues, not glibc issues,
and glib2 is a dependency (direct or indirect) of all GNOME apps so it
can't be missing.
