Does KDE have any sort of app that provides a detailed twenty-four-hour forecast and radar weather map, as the Gnome weather app does?
From the KDE weather app (which I have to switch to an empty desktop in order to view), I can get the current temperature and conditions, and a six-day forecast. But what I can't get is a today-tonight-tomorrow forecast, or any sort of weather map.
What am I missing?

yaWP with accuweather as provider has a Radarmap and some nice information. Have you seen that?

Must have missed that. Is that what I look for? What repo(s) is it in?

I have it. I'm afraid it crashed the first time I tried to configure it--and now I'm committed to a two-hour process of installing all the debug-info packages in order to report the cause. I can give you one clue: a segmentation fault.
But that happened only once, when I tried to run two weather widgets at once. Now I've got the widget of my choice, and I like what I see.
I should have the bug report in within the hour.

Please see this bug report before submitting another one: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=569558
It might be the same issue. If so, please append to the end of that bug report.
The user in that bug says the crash happened only once too. We thought that his problem may be related to some incompatibility on an KDE4.3->4.4 update. Try to crash yawp by cleaning up your yawp configuration from ~/.kde and restarting it.

To clarify (just in case; don't need anyone rm'ing ~/.kde!): Quit plasma (kquitapp plasma-desktop) vim ~/.kde/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc find the section with the phrase "plugin=yawp"
[Containments][284][Applets][303] geometry=0,325.236363636364,119,266.763636363636 immutability=1 plugin=yaWP zvalue=0
then delete from that file any section that starts with "[Containments][284] [Applets][303]" for whatever section that plugin=yawp is in...
Complicated, yes...
