[OS-BUILD PATCHv5 0/2] redhat/kernel.spec: add uki_addons to create UKI kernel cmdline addons

The folder redhat/addons will contain all addons configs specifying the UKI kernel cmdline addons to be created in the next build. An addon config is simply a .addon plain text file, where any line is taken as kernel cmdline, except for the ones starting with '#', which will be automatically ignored. redhat/scripts/uki_addons.py will take care of parsing all configs and folders in redhat/addons and call 'ukify' to create the actual addons. The output addon filename will be a concatenation of all folders in redhat/addons that are part of the addon config path. For example, an addon config redhat/addons/1/2/3/test.addon will result in generating redhat/addons_output/1-2-3-test.addon.efi. It is also possible to add .sbat to all the generated addons, by populating redhat/addons/sbat/sbat.conf. Syntax is same as the addons config. At build time, Makefile will create a tar.gz archive (addons.tar.gz) containing all the files in redhat/addons. It will then passed to the kernel specfile that will extract the addons from it and generate the UKI kernel cmdline addons. Where is jforbes (kernel maintainer) for the next 4-8 weeks?

Unfortunately I will be out on medical leave for the next 4-8 weeks. Augusto Caringi (acaringi) has been doing a great job with the fedora stable kernel releases recently and will be the point of contact for fedora kernel issues in my absence. Other good points of contact include Peter Robinson (pbrobinson) and Scott Weaver (scweaver). I expect when I do come back it will be part time at first, and then ramp back up to full time over a few weeks. Justin

asking for help on i686 kernel problem

Hi, as reported in https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/issue/11775 we can't build webkitgtk on i686 which is in critical path and break rawhide compose if is not built [1] downgrade kernel from 6.7.4-200 to 6.6.14-200 fixes the builds on i686 [1] https://pagure.io/releng/issue/11952 -- Sérgio M. [OS-BUILD PATCHv3 0/2] Fix nightly rt and automotive merging

So when it got rebuilt the next night from scratch it got merged into rt-devel and automotive-devel in a way that required those branches to be forced pushed. Not good for development. The easy way is to push that branch but that requires re-pushing rt-devel and automotive-devel. Not hard. Instead I wanted to remove that intermediary branch leaving less complicated logic and rely on an octopus merge. Should work better now and simpler to read.
