It wasn't such a good idea to wait 18 months, or about eight upstream releases, before doing a rerun. Running the script more often should keep these cleanup patches short and easier to review.
I think I ran it a couple times myself in the interim. It hasn't been a full 18 months.
Should I perhaps try do a run of scripts/check-configs.pl every time master is bumped to the latest upstream release? (Or prod someone else to do that, of course.)
If you would like to do that then yes please. We have the script in git, so it's mostly a matter of remembering to run it. Doesn't matter much to me who does the running.
