amd gpu question

I wanted to see how things are in the AMD universe (and an all-open-source
gaming stack!), so I have a shiny new computer with a Vega 64 graphics card.
I am hitting https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108049, which is
very frustrating. (When the card goes to sleep, it doesn't wake up. I have
to hit the suspend button and sleep the whole computer to get it to
respond.) Apparently there is a fix in amd-staging-drm-next. How long does
it take for something like that to get to me?
