Regarding the problem with the resuming(S3/4), i saw the solution has become an integral part of mainline kernel - 3.17 https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/tree/drivers... Thank you, son.
What with the WiFi; it began to work with 3.17, but this rather rudimentary rtl871x wireless lan driver cannot even handle suspend/resume. Hehe.
