[Fedora-laptop-list] T41p suspend success

After noticing that my IBM recovery partition wasn't working I disabled this feature in the BIOS setup and I'm pleased to note that suspend on a Thinkpad T41p works properly with FC5. Also, I downloaded the properietary ATI graphics drivers and I've been able to get TV Out to work on this laptop also. Joe.

Thanks Paul. as mentioned FC4 support may only be for legacy ATA not SATA. Toshiba protege s100 may require SATA support in FC4 a brief of dmesg when i could shell prompt in rescue mode: ata-piix ver 1.03.. .. ATA: abnormal status 0xFF on port 0xBF2F ata1: disabling port ..... ..... vfs: CANT FIND EXT2 FS ON DEV LOOP0 AND how about use of libata? any other linux flavor for easy installation. regards, vinod >From: "Paul W. I have already a 10GB unformatted disk space on my laptop. while trying to load fc4 it says that there "no hard drives found" any installation note for the same. reg vinod _________________________________________________________________ Shah Rukh fan?
