Fedora 9 on the Acer Aspire One
by Brian Jedsen
When booting the Fedora 9 live CD on the Acer Aspire one, I get a
segfault from udev. I've tried two different downloads of the live iso,
both verified, and both showing the same error. What can I do to get
Fedora on this netbook?

Fedora 9 on Dell D820
by Michael Simon
Has anyone got sleep/hibernate to work with this laptop? I can put the
laptop to sleep but when it tries to wake up then I see thin vertical color
fragmented lines. Followed by what appears to be a X windows mouse cursor.
It continues in this loop every 5-10 seconds.
I just converted to Linux trying to use it as a base with vmware running my
windows xp (crap).
I'd love to be able to sleep instead of having to reboot all the time.

Computer name of wireless connection on router
by Arjan Hulshoff
Hi all,
I have an issue with registering my computer name on my router using
Fedora 9. In fact it only causes a problem when I am using the wireless
NIC. When using the wired network my computer name gets registered on my
router flawlessly. The router I am using is a SMC 2804WBR.
NetworkManager is controlling both my wired and wireless NIC. I have
adjusted ifcfg-wlan0 to match as much as possible to ifcfg-eth0. The
hosts and network files should be okay as the wired network works well.
Can someone give me a few pointers to what I should do?
Regards,
Arjan.
