Graphics issues on Lenovo T530

Video hardware is an nVidia GF108 [Quadro NVS 5400M] chipset. What I'm seeing is, either when first logging in or when resuming from suspend mode, the desktop is either scrambled (but still active) or non-responsive. If I SSH into the laptop or else drop to a TTY, I see: Apr 22 09:25:29 mcpierce-work kernel: [ 1614.663139] nouveau E[PGRAPH][0000:01:00.0] TRAP ch 3 [0x001fb8c000] Apr 22 09:25:29 mcpierce-work kernel: [ 1614.663144] nouveau E[PGRAPH][0000:01:00.0] SHADER 0xa2040200 scrolling by the screen. When I restart X the error sometimes stops, but when the problem occurs that message is there. Any suggestions? -- Darryl L. Can't get into Fedora 18

I have installed Fedora-18-i686-Live-Desktop.iso on a bootable usb using Universal USB Installer v 1.9.3.1. in order to try it. (I am currently using Mint 14.) Program installs and opening screen shows the logo and top icon bar and: 'Sign in' (greyed out) 'Not listed?' Selecting 'Not listed' produces a request for 'Username' with a box to fill in, and 'Cancel' or 'Sign in' Everything I try on the username produces 'Authentication error' and returns to sign in screen. Can anyone help me get to the program?

Mark - Fedora19 deployed on production laptops! You're a brave man! :) I deploy a mix of F18/centos via cobbler myself. Both professionally and as a hobby. How are you deploying F19? I am shocked to see group active dates from 2006??!! really?! anyone with fedora laptop zeal out there??
