My guess is that the kernel driver for the graphic card is not working properly. Looks like that laptop comes with a gforce 9200M GS and if you are using nvidia drivers from rpmfusion repo and you didn't installed kmod/akmod packages for your kernel the nvidia driver should not be able to run when the kernel upgrades.
You should check you have installed these packages in this case: - akmod-nvidia - xorg-x11-drv-nvidia - kmod-nvidia (kmod-nvidia-PAE for PAE kernel)

Hi All,
I have a hp pavilion dv7 and everything was working fine until i upgrade to kernel 2.6.29.6-213.fc11.x86_64. Now the system does not boot. The notebook stop at the black screen displayed after the bottom blue bar Anyone can help me ?

ps. The same thing happens with kernel 2.6.29.6-217.2.3.fc11.x86_64.
