I know this'll sound weird or stupid, but just curious 'cause I don't have a MacBook at all:  Have you operated previous versions of Fedora on this system? If so, then archive this ALSA report you have now and compare it against the report from the last version you used. There may be something there that can help you with the configs on Fedora 18.

Also, check which version distribution of Fedora you're using. For example, if you previously used Fedora 16 KDE and upgraded to Fedora 18 XFCE, that may also cause an unexpected side effect.
