hi,

I got no response on my last input, as told - I have tried to install F7-86_64,
which didn't lead anywhere.

The following is the last lines that I have written down ( actually, from F7.90-86_64 this time,
while

device-mapper: ioctl: 4.11.0-ioctl (2006-10-12) initialised: dm-devel@redhat.com
Reading all physical volumes. This may take a while...
   No volume groups found
   Volume group "VolGroup00" not found
Unable to access resume device (/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01)
mount: could not find filesystem '/dev/root'
setuproot: moving /dev failed: No such file or directory
setuproot: error mounting /proc: No such file or directory
setuproot: error mounting /sys: No such file or directory
switchroot: mount failed: No such file or directory
Kernel panic - not syncing:  Attempted to kill init!

                          --------------

Any clues ?  Tried rescue, checked filesystem, and it seems to be there. Checked Grub, and it
seems like it is given the correctly kernel parameters.

At the moment, I am trying a fresh install of F7_i386 again. Wanting to see if it may be upgraded
by the F7_x64 DVD.

Is there nobody checking these distrobutions for errors ??
- like the F7_i386 will fail any install in textmode
- if testing DVD,CD - it will fail to find any install media, forced to power off, start
over again. Oh...there are just too much....

Any idea what is happening in the situation above ?

I'll supply some more info about the hardware, if I can get this thing to communicate.
