Hi,
I installed fedora F10 on my HP-laptop. Sound card is working but
perfomance is very low - peak volume is quite low, quality is not as good
as I get in pre-installed Vista.
The Laptop has IDT High-Definition Audio card. Any suggestions?

the specs of my laptop
1. Intel Core 2 Duo 2Ghz
2. NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GS/9600M GT Video/Graphic
3. Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad
4. HP Integrated Digital TV Tuner
5. IDT High-Definition Audio CODEC
6. Realtek PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC
7. HP MediaSmart
Am scared of whether the above mentioned sound/graphics and network

If youre running KDE start the Kmix program (then you'll get the volume
control in the system tray. click on the volume control and click on the
'Mixer' button, then set the volume levels for Master, Front, PCM and
Headphone.
Then under Settings --> Configure Kmix uncheck the 'Restore volumes at login'
