Hello, I have noticed that there have been a few fixes and enhancements to libpwquality. I was just wondering when the next release of libpwquality will happen since there hasn't been a release in a few years. Thanks, Gabe

I'm trying to understand how to use pwquality to 'check' a password. I've tried to construct a PWQSettings object to require that a password have at least 1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, 1 numeric digit, 1 symbol character and be at least 12 characters long. However when I check a password without any uppercase letter (test 1) I don't get back the error PWQ_ERROR_MIN_UPPERS like I would expect. Also constructing a PWQSettings object with only the pwquality_settings option specified (test 2) I get: Traceback (most recent call last): File "test.py", line 14, in request = PasswordCheckRequest(pwquality_settings=settings) TypeError: **init**() takes at least 2 arguments (2 given) which I don't understand since the error indicates the 2 arguments were given despite only one actually was. I've included other tests which also do not return the errors expected based on the options specified. PATCH: check usernames over a minimum length of chars

Inspired by a twitter rant on pam_pwquality, I think it makes sense to only check about the username being contained in the password, only if the username is above some minimum number of chars. The attached patch sets that to 3 or more. regards, Nikos

-lintl link issue

hi, Some systems (FreeBSD) require a separate library to be linked in order to use gettext. The configure setup of libpwquality is already detecting this library and putting it in a variable called LIBINTL. All that is left is for libpwquality to actually use this variable. I've attached a simple patch. Cheers

Hi everyone. I'm not sure this is the right place to ask, but I was wondering if there is any interest in registering the python bindings for libpwquality as a python egg in pypi so that it can easily be installed and used in a python virtualenv. Great work btw, I was looking for something like this for quite some time and libpwquality seems to be just the perfect tool.

header file misses information about size_t

tested with version 1.2.2 trying to build a simple program with only the library header file or with the header file at the top fails with the following error message [ink@mtz ~]$ gcc tt.c In file included from tt.c:2:0: /usr/include/pwquality.h:137:31: error: unknown type name ‘size_t’ [ink@mtz ~]$ possible solution is to include stddef header file[1] [1] http://pubs.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/7908799/xsh/stddef.h.html
