Thanks for sending that. I'll take a look at this config and see
if I
see anything. For reference I've attached the i586 config from f7, so
it might be worth doing a rebuild of the rpm with a similar config.
Thanks.
I'll definitely try that. Any reason I shouldn't start with the
i386 kernel config from f7 instead?
It's also worth noting that the liveCD doesn't claim to
support i586
platforms:
I would assume that's because only an i686 kernel is included.
I also wondered if anything that was built needing kernel-devel or
kernel-headers might need to be rebuilt for i586, but there are only a
few i586 specific packages available in f7 (one of which is
kernel-devel), so I'm not sure how important that is.
Good point. But as far as
I can tell, since I'm using the following in
the kickstart:
repo --name=a-dev
--baseurl=http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/releases/7/Everything/i386/os/
I should be getting i386 versions of everything into my live-cd. Is
there anything that comes from i686-land that I'm overlooking?
I guess I could try to recompile kernel-devel and glibc from source.
Mhh, not sure how to set that up.
Thanks again for the follow-up! We'll get there...
