Those options have been there for a while but I've not been able to get
them to work. The Interwebs says that Intel Macs can be booted from USB but
I have yet to see it done.
I have a lab with 42 computers that I manage and 9 of them are Intel iMacs
and they are triple boot - OS X, Windows XP, and Fedora. To install Fedora
on 33 computers in the lab I used LiveUSB. For the iMacs, I used LiveDVD
(of my own making since Fedora doesn't have one).
Everytime I've seen someone ask about this the answer was... you can't do
it... but of course, I would love to be wrong this time and see it change.
Perhaps it already has changed but I missed it.
TYL,
