The old answer to "how do I use LiveCD in vesa mode?" was xdriver=vesa. This doesn't seem to be working with Fedora 11 Alpha where X crashes the Radeon 7500 of my Thinkpad T41.
Anyhow, I'm wondering if people would be in favor of adding a syslinux menu option to boot into vesa mode similar to how Anaconda install media now has?

With Radeon's in rawhide, futzing with the nomodeset parameter is a good way to get things working again.
