Using rhpl.translate for new code is probably a bad idea... it doesn't
support all gettext features and also trips up some interesting areas
with python's unicode support.
New code? It's been 6 months since Boston already. Not sure though if
that means you're old? ;-) I don't know what rhpl does or doesn't do
right; it works. Should it get fixed before you even think about
applying any translation patch whatsoever, or can we live with it for
the moment?

Also needs makefile gunk to extract out strings using xgettext into a
livecd-tools.pot, etc. See anaconda's po/Makefile for one example. Or
other utilities for others.
Right, I figured. I'll try and get some more work done on this.
