Persistent Storage Image

I have some problem using the persistent storage when the usb mount point has an UTF-8 path name, etc in Japanese or Chinese. When I come to syslinux.cfg I can not confirm whether it is the "liveimg overlay=UUID=xxxxx" that determine the persistent storage file's name, is it? While when I changed the "overlay-XXX-XXXX" file's name in the LiveOS directory, the persistent storage feature is invalid. Could you give me some hints about that? Where is the point that determine the persistent storage file?
