 It would be nice to be able to have a possibility of giving symbolic names
 to either machines, physical devices or configured interfaces.

 Currently only integer values are accepted as machine_id, netdev_phys_id
 and interface_id.

 While I was looking into the code to find out how much needs to be changed
 I noticed that bg_id, used for identification of background processes, can
 be changed to string as well. That way you could give the command a more
 comprehensive id for example "background_file_transfer" (or something
 along those lines) the same id would be then used in the corresponding
 wait/interrupt/kill command. This could make the connection between these
 two commands a bit more visible.[[BR]]
 Should I make this change as well?
