Do we have any ETA on when we'll deploy the new spins site? It'd be good
to do all of that long before the freeze for the final release.

Fedora Insight install howto, draft 1
by Mel Chua
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_set_up_a_Zikula_sandbox#Fedora_Insi...
I haven't tested these instructions start to finish yet, and the wysiwyg
package that danielsmw just made isn't up there since we haven't
deployed it on publictest, but wanted to give an update.
It should be possible to muddle through an FI install and fill in the
bits from this page, but it probably won't go smoothly (esp. with the
skin). I would consider this an alpha version. Continuing to work on it
during spare moments; if anyone else would like to chip in on "how to
replicate our publictest FI setup on a fresh box" instructions, extra
hands would be way more than welcome.

FI module update: zikula WYSIWYG packaged, needs reviewer
by Mel Chua
We are *almost* ready to deploy FI to staging. Everything's set
packagewise (just got the javascript relicensing ok for ezcomments, need
to put that in the code) - AND as a wonderful last-minute bonus, Matthew
Daniels has packaged xinha for zikula, giving us WYSIWYG-fu from the
beginning.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=528003
...if we can get the package reviewed posthaste.
I can't review packages, but will be working on FI after dinner tonight,
primarily in #fedora-websites, if anyone would like to join the party in
a few hours.
Remaining blockers are at
https://fedorahosted.org/marketing-team/query?status=new&status=assigned&...,
so it looks like I will be excavating my extremely rusty CSS skills and
attempting to learn javascript...
We're almost there!

PS: Ccing the FWN folks who've been the driving use-case force behind
this module.

www.fpo redesign status
by Máirín Duffy
Hi,
The original due date for the finished www.fpo mockups is this Friday.
I'm on a business trip this week and it's quite clear to me now I just
won't be able to make the deadline. :( Would it be okay if I tried for
next Friday, Oct. 2? It should still leave 2 weeks for HTML/CSS on those
pages, and the spins mocks have been done for a week so it shouldn't
hold up Hiemanshu & co. since they still have those to work on.
For reference our schedule is:
* DONE: #Requirements gathering
* DONE: #First design mockups
* DONE Aug 21 - Aug 28 : gather feedback, determine metrics,
usability testing for spins.fp.o (mizmo)
* DONE Aug 21 - Sep 04 : gather feedback, determine metrics,
usability testing for get.fp.o (mizmo)
* DONE Aug 28 - Sep 20 : Final design mockups for spins.fp.o (mizmo)
* Sep 04 - Sep 27 : Final design mockups for get.fp.o (mizmo)
* Sep 20 - Oct 20: convert spins.fp.o and get.fp.o to html/css
(hiemanshu)
* Oct 20 : get spins.fp.o and get.fp.o onto infrastructure (ricky)

Fedora 12 Beta Release Rescheduled to 2009-10-20
by John Poelstra
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/12/Schedule
At the Release Engineering meeting today
https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-devel-list/2009-October/msg00244.html
it was noted that we still do not have a beta RC composed because a few
blocker bugs remain.
The decision was made to move the Fedora 12 Beta Release date to
2009-10-20 instead of its scheduled date of 2009-10-13 (one week from
Tuesday). The original intention was also to move the final release
date of Fedora 12 to 2009-11-17, but that decision has been deferred
until Thursday while the Infrastructure team researches some issues
related to an upcoming data center move.
The next meeting to determine the final release date for Fedora 12 will
be this Thursday, 2009-10-08 at 18:00 UTC (2 PM EDT) in #fedora-meeting.
After that meeting all of the detailed Fedora 12 team schedules will
be fully updated to reflect the plan of record.
REMINDER: we are in and will remain in FINAL FREEZE for Fedora 12. This
is not a new opportunity for more time to continue development work or
squeeze more bug fixes into Fedora 12. A new branch is already open
where this work can continue for Fedora 13.

Beta Release Readiness Meeting Wednesday 2009-10-07 @ 19:00 UTC
by John Poelstra
When: 2009-10-07 at 19:00 UTC (3 PM EDT/12 PM PDT)
Where: #fedora-meeting on freenode ? (see below)
Next Wednesday we are scheduled to have the Release Readiness meeting
for the Fedora 12 Beta. I'm hoping representatives from each of the
teams will be able to attend. Please discuss with your teams to see if
there are any issues they would like to bring forward. This cross team
meeting is held to coordinate and discuss release day issues in real
time and to make sure we are ready for a smooth release day.
The following list shows the people that represented these teams in past
releases. If you cannot attend or no longer wish to represent your team
please coordinate and alternate.

Infrastructure -- Mike McGrath
Marketing -- Mel Chua
Quality -- James Laska
Release Engineering -- Jesse Keating
Translation -- Noriko Mizumoto
Websites -- Ricky Zhou
IMPORTANT: as a change from previous meetings, unless someone objects I
would like to try having this meeting on IRC this time. We seem to have
gotten into a pretty good routine with this meeting that I'm wondering
if the advantages of real time voice are not needed as much any more.
I will send another reminder on Tuesday.
Thanks,
John
