Hey!
As you know, we would like to use this module to replace Flexifilter module. I created an issue, we would like to maintain it on drupal.org.(1) As you can see, there aren't any responses for two weeks(2), that's why I've created a sandbox project.(3) So, there is a sandbox project which might replace old MediaWiki API module. If you want to be a co-maintainer drop me an email, I will add you.

Hey. I am a little confused as what this has to do with the Fedora side? It is probably something obvious that I am missing.. so please point it out.
Thanks.

Hey!
So, we use Flexifilter module(1) in order to appear MediaWiki syntax in Drupal. But this module is a little big for us, it's enough a smaller. MediaWiki API works great as Paul sometimes said it. That's why we would like to replace them, maintain the old MediaWiki API module or a new one. I talked with one of my friend, he helps us, I added him to the maintainer list.

Right. The Flexifilter module, although maintained, has a very unwieldy interface. To add support for each new piece of MediaWiki input, you have to edit the filter in a very painstaking process. On the other hand, the Mediawiki_api module simply uses the api.php on the MediaWiki to get a parsed HTML version of content, and displays it in Drupal. So it scales perfectly with MediaWiki and whatever extensions you offer in your instance.
Hopefully Peter will be successful in taking over the module and there will again be a robust upstream!
