IIRC even when Fedora 28 has been released you had the same issue. The one big "learn more" button in GNOME Software, when you see the Fedora 29 upgrade being offered, goes to this site: https://fedoramagazine.org/whats-new-fedora-29-workstation And yet again, what waits is just a 404 error page. Seriously, this is really a no-go. :)

I had to make a post-publication edit to our most recent COPR article. It wasn't clear before publication that one of the included repos included material not eligible to redistribute. (Thus making it ineligible also for COPR.) I talked to the COPR folks as well as the author and took steps to remove it from the article. I included an editors' note with an apology for the issue. Thanks to the COPR folks as well for acting swiftly. In the future, let's make sure that included repos are appropriate. By the way, COPR has a function where you can make a report if you find material there that doesn't belong -- like software that is not eligible to redistribute. -- Paul

Greetings everyone, I am using linux distros since i was 10 and i am glad to be part of this amazing community. I am a Game developer and use fedora and CentOS all of the machines. Setting up great software environment for game development on Red hat family including fedora and centos after alot of testing went like a charm. Its always likely to have industry standard software and we managed to install, DaVinci Resolve for video editing on all the three distros with minor tweaking on fedora. We managed to setup Unreal Engine on fedora (for the production things) and on CentOS/RHEL (for server and also on some emergency desktops), with tweaking to get great results on the redhat family. We also setted up Autodesk Maya on the distros and managed to have a great render test. I will be proud and glad to share the knowledge to set up these amazing software on my platform of choice. Pitch: Model the brain with the NEST simulator

Hiya, We've recently updated NEST to the latest release and it hit stable a day or two ago. I've written a post announcing the availability of NEST in Fedora. Hey guys I wondered if it was of interest to describe the process on how to deploy machine-learning models (TensorFlow) on a Fedora system using Fedora Docker containers and provide a (swagger) REST-API. Pitch: Improving your login security with Fedora challenge- response authentication Summary: Setting up Fedora with HW Keys for Local Challenge- Response Secure Logins using available repository packages Description: The purpose of this article would be to describe what a Challenge-Response login is, and how the reader can setup their Fedora workstation to accept challenge-response logins for PAM in Fedora 27/28/29. The article would educate the users while performing a step by step setup of challenge-response authentication via PAM for sudo and GDM login. This article would promote using a local challenge-response authentication via a HW token/key/card for securing the users Fedora workstation. Article flow would be as follows: * What is Challenge-Response Security and how does it work? * What is the difference between local and remote challenge response? Fifteen-year anniversary

Hello, This November will be the fifteenth anniversary of the Fedora project. Would it be appropriate to mark this event with an article on the magazine, or is that more community blog content? I thought it might be fun to provide people with a Fedora Core 1 libvirt image that they could boot up and see what Fedora was like in the beginning. Thoughts? Link

Greetings and salutations Everyone, As a long time reader and lurker, I've always enjoyed the quality and succinctness of writing of Fedora Magazine. I've just not had the time to actively contribute to Fedora Magazine until now. I would like to introduce myself, my name is Michael Erwin. I've implemented, administered and developed on every flavor *nix for over 40 years, and as an OG, I do remember the original Linux post from Linus, as well as the first RedHat release. Over the years I've written several books on CGI, HTML, Java & database technology, as well for Boardwatch & other magazines, not counting some in my various other hobbies. For the past 30 years I've specialized in high performance, clustering, high availability, disaster recovery and security of database, middle ware and cloud architectures. While I am a certified OG, please don't hold that against me as I love learning, sharing and teaching. The day we stop learning is the day we "shutdown /l". I plan to do a pitch or two in the upcoming months. Likely one of the pitch topics that I currently see that is more than a little confusing is installing and configuring PAM with a Challenge-Response logon in Fedora, while not using remote authentication services. If that would possibly be of interest to the editors. Lastly, I wish to thank all of you in the Fedora Magazine community for your hard work and writing excellence over the years.
