Introduction
by pmkellly@frontier.com
I'm an engineer and have served in a variety of roles. I have written
documents in a strict style where little choice or leeway was given, a
loose general style where choices and leeway were broad, and styles in
the middle. I have written policy, procedure, narrative, report and
even fantasy stories. I am used to getting feedback from many sources
when my writings are out for review.
I have been helping in the Fedora Quality group for about two years. You
can read my Fedora pages at:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Tablepc
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User_talk:Tablepc
I have an idea for an article. but I need help knowing what editor(s) to
use creating the draft, how to submit the draft, and probably other
things I need to know. I found the page for submitting article ideas,
but I thought I should probably introduce myself and ask these questions
first.
Have a Great Day!

Re: Cockpit article ready for review`
by Paul Frields
Shaun, this is another slam dunk. You are really good at these articles.
Each has been very clearly written and has just the right balance of
content -- how to get core tasks done without getting too esoteric.
One thing I did in editing... and this is REALLY nitpicky... is using
"will" for future tense. I find I can usually eliminate this in favor of
present tense for incrementally stronger writing. For example, "this button
will turn the screen off" becomes "this button turns the screen off."
Again, this is a nit. I found your prose easy to read and top-notch. Really
well done!
I finished minor edits on this article, so it's ready to go anytime.
