Re: Article pitch
by Paul Frields
This seems like a great idea to me. +1. I asked other editors to weigh
in as well. If you get at least one more +1, consider it approved and
go for it!

Edits for network bonding article
by Ben Cotton
Ryan (or anyone else who takes an editorial pass at my network bonding article),
It occurred to me this morning that I added myself to the `wheel`
group on my laptop a while ago so I was able to run the commands in my
post without sudo. But most readers will need that. Can you please
prefix the commands with sudo (or add another suitable indication that
the commands will need elevated privileges) as you prepare it for
publication?
Thanks,
BC

IP blocked
by Ben Cotton
I am apparently a bad person. Or at least WordPress's Jetpack seems to think so:
Your IP (67.219.144.68) has been flagged for potential security violations
Can someone please add my IP (above) to the whitelist? See
https://jetpack.com/support/security-features/#unblock
I'm not entirely sure why it's mad at me (although I have a theory).
Once I'm allowed to log in again, I'll enter my "Bond WiFi and
Ethernet for easier networking mobility" article.
Thanks,
BC

Article pitch
by Shaun Assam
Hi everyone,
It's been a long time since I've had a moment to write an article for the magazine. Changes in life have kept me extremely busy, but I now have some free time and would like to write an article I'd like to pitch.
I've recently come across a tool available the in Fedora official repository called 'chntpw' that allows users to reset Windows passwords from the Linux CLI using a live-media. I've recently had to use this tool myself at work as the Microsoft-way of performing the same task was ineffective and time was limited in solving the user's issue. The article will contain:
* A brief paragraph summarizing what 'chntpw' is, what it can be used for, and it's requirements
* Installation instructions using the Fedora-Workstation-Live boot (with reference to a magazine article on how to make a live-usb)
* Using the live-media to download 'chntpw' and the steps used to clear/change a Windows local administrator password
* Rebooting into Windows and logging in with the local administrator account who's password has been cleared/changed
If you feel this would work for the magazine, I can have the article completed by the weekend the pitch has been approved. I'm unable to log into the Magazine's site right now from work, but I will write this pitch in there once I'm home.
Thanks and regards,
Shaun Assam
