I like the idea. I think it could use another introductory paragraph
before dropping right in. As is, this seems like a better fit for our
upcoming (unicorn fantasy status right now, but someday soon!)
short-docs system than the magazine.
Also, I would like to point out that we have a "pitch" step in our
process before writing drafts. Here is our process:

It's not awful to write ahead of the pitch, but we also want to
encourage new writers to meet up with us and discuss first. Having
said that, I don't see any issue with this article; it's strongly and
concisely written!
