I have created cards, and assigned them dates to see where we stand with content for the end of the year. And we're doing pretty good:

(2) We could make a "best of 2019" series that would run for 3-5
slots
on the Magazine. Last year I think we chose articles that represented for developers, sysadmins, and user tools. We could use those or even add a couple categories. We could do a year-end wrap up as well.
I'm a big fan of this sort of post. It's a great way to highlight articles that people may have missed. Since we're looking at filling 5 slots or so, I'd suggest the following:
- Best developer articles (5 articles)
- Best sysadmin articles (5 articles)
- Best user tools articles (5 articles)
- Most-read articles (10? most-read, perhaps adjusted for calendar)
- Editors' choice (5 articles that the editors loved, perhaps with a
focus on highlighting first-time writers)
I like all of these, although 10 seems like a large number and might end up being repetitive with #1-3. I especially like the #5 idea about highlighting new writers! We should perhaps also alert those writers to the fact that they're featured, if we do this!
I like them, too!
I'd say let's look at the back catalogue and decide about the number of articles in each category based on what's there.
Let's talk about it in today's meeting!
