This seems like important information for us to get out there in advance of F30, and a good idea for the Magazine. Is there a plan to get official docs for Fedora updated as well?

I'm assuming so. I'll follow up with Javier/Peter as well.
I have a draft of the article at https://fedoramagazine.org/?p=25616&preview=1&_ppp=42c4bda80a
This has been reviewed by Javier for correctness of grubby commands and all the parts should now be in an f30 compose but I think we should double check before doing the final publish.
Thanks, Laura

If you haven't seen it, there is a change to use BootloadSpec as the way to generate entries for F30 https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/BootLoaderSpecByDefault . One of the major impacts is that modifying kernel command line arguments is now different and doesn't match most other guides. I think a short article about the best way to set kernel command line arguments with the new setup would be beneficial to users. I can write something up and get it reviewed by the change owners (Peter and Javier). I'll leave it to the editors to decide when would be a good time to run this.
