Hello!
I don't remember anyone bringing this topic, but if it's possible to do it I would love an article about this. I think it could be quite helpful.
Cheers, Sylvia

Hi,
to be honest, "best hardware" in general sounds (for me kinda) overpowered and with a recommandation. I would rather prefer "hardware which works (tested) with Open Source". And if you want, replace Open Source with Fedora (to be branded again) :-)
Just my five cents
all the best Gerold

I think this concept is on the right track. It would make a lot more sense to me to do the following:
* Develop a set procedure by which someone could observe and rate a laptop, including all relevant hardware.
* Use an article template to show how the laptop performed, and restrict publication to those laptops that perform well. There's no need to write articles about hardware that doesn't work well, it's just negative noise.
There is a reason certification efforts cost real money and resources. I don't think we want to get the Magazine into that business.
