Hi All,

Brian Proffitt maintains a tracking sheet on Fedora Social Media accounts.  We are getting close to 100,000 Twitter followers.

An article rounding up our social media and communications would be a cool idea.  I can help collaborate on this, but cannot be solely responsible for it.

This is a question we need to decide how to answer.  I think we should figure out a good way to recognize groups of community members who are not using our official channels.  Perhaps you could draft some wording on this?

I suggest you create a shared document in an etherpad or something like Google Docs and send out that url so that others, like Julita can easily add content.

Follow the guidelines for the Magazine and CommBlog.

are we a closed project now? Why must this be done in something like 
google docs (btw is that open source?) what speaks against doing that 
there where it did belong in the past in the wiki, sometimes other 
people want to read that to and dont want to search endless long in 
their mail client ooh where is this link

Brian suggested Google Docs, I use Google Docs, so I started there.  BTW,
if you can't see anything Julita, probably is because my internet failed
when I was writing. Sorry, I will add something soon.

Who are the most renowned followers could be nice to mention.

Hashtags trends are also important and last but not least, DM to check what
our followers wants from Fedora :D

Can you start figuring this data out?  I don't have the trend data for our twitter followers handy, but research started now is going to be useful later.

Agreed.  It's awesome that we're doing so well on our follower
numbers.  Referring back to earlier discussion of these types of
articles, the public's probably less interested in our number of
followers than community members who care how we're trending.  The
public is used to seeing several orders of magnitude more on
general-appeal accounts.

Also, putting a lot of numbers may make it too much of a commercial
promotion.  And that's always a boring thing to read. Maybe highlighting
the goals achieved and/or how much we improved this last year?  Like  "We
reached our xx milestone in Twitter"  instead of  "We have xx number of
followers in Twitter".
