I believe this was from the feedback form that we fill it. They have box that ask us if any news from Redhat we will accept or not. Iverson was one of the Redhat disti so Iverson was doing on behalf of Redhat to give appreciations to participant. Maybe we need check back any feedback form that ask about agree to get any news not to check it. OR maybe they use all the participant registration form and blast email just to say "THANKS". :)

if i were to forward the email to the mailing list it will be empty
minus the attachment, hence the reason why i showed the email header
instead.

i do not appreciate having my email being given to other parties without
my consent.

question still remains, is this standard operating procedure? and
additionally i find it disturbing that someone can freely obtain my
email and forward it to persons in which i have no interest in getting
in touch with. so who is accountable for this unauthorised use of emails?
