I learned about the Fedora Marketing team through Fedora project website, and am interested in joining because I already promote Fedora in my city, in many different ways. Regrets for today's meeting

Hi all, In Edinburgh this week, attending LinuxCon + CloudOpen, which means lots of busy plus a different time zone - so I won't be able to make this week's meeting. The major items I have on my agenda (unless I am forgetting) are: - Beta announcement draft: I will try to finish up my edits on this by tomorrow morning, my time. Please look at the link I shared earlier on the wiki and add/make corrections, suggest new items, etc. Let's make the announcement live up to the release! - Upgrade for Fedora Magazine: I should have time to tend to this next week, and will send an upgrade plan to the list. Apologies for the delay. - 10th anniversary stuff: We need to have a good announcement to send out for this, and I'm finishing the FPL retrospective for publication November 6th. This week in Fedora

Sorry everyone for the delay in posting this week in Fedora, I know everyone is always curious to see the numbers report. Last week badges have only gone up a slight amount 1.55% from previous weeks but that is ok, things will pick up. There are alot of badges coming into production so "badge out" Last week we had 3428 builds completed, up +11.55% from the previous week. Keep up the good work guys its good to see such great contributions. Now to my favorite subject the Fedora wiki. Wiki editing has shot up to 1211 edits with a +51.19% difference from the previous week. Awesome work guys I have been working on keeping everything organized and moved around, so its great to see so many people getting information up to date and new information covered. Now for some bad news New Fedora FAS accounts have taken a dive with only 119 being created, and a drop of -38.66% from the previous weeks. Lets not worry too much though I have a feeling this will go up, and with our awesome ambassadors spreading the good word of Fedora only good things can start happening. Meetings completed and started were only 6 for this week, a drop of -33% from the previous week. 29 new packages were created being a positive difference of +61.11% from the previous week. Way to go guys, you rock Posts on the planet went up as well 112 posts to be exact, that is a difference of +24.44% from the previous week. With us having such an awesome distro I am always happy to see people posting news. Retired packages were down to 6 a drop in -70% from the previous week. We had 401 updates to stable and 680 updates to testing with a difference of +17.44%. All in all another awesome week in Fedora land, I am looking forward to another great week. My day's getting busy, and I may miss the meeting in an hour. If so, here's what I had to talk about, which largely has already been covered on-list: - The cloud brochures are finished and on their way to LinuxCon Europe: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Marketing/Cloud_brochure - The YouTube channel at youtube.com/fedoraproject has been reclaimed, and nitesh has volunteered to move the Flock videos over. I do think now we need to talk more about our video strategy and standards for video rather than upload anything and everything. (If you're on the video team list, I sent a message there to this effect last week.)

Magazine site issues

Hi, Over the weekend , the magazine site got the white screen of death. JZB is working with Openshift to get us more resources. It looks like the cause of this was the plugin Jetpack. Mitzie and I worked together to get the site back up and running. I am asking that we keep Jetpack turned off until we get more ram/hdd space to prevent further outages. Countdown banners for F20 are up!

Hi, We have banners ready for use at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/F20_Artwork/Submissions/Banners It'll be a good idea to put a word out about these. Apparently the Alpha banners were already around, but no one seemed to know about them. A post on the magazine, perhaps?
