Self Introduction: Mike Ruckman
by Mike Ruckman
Hello Marketing! My name is Mike Ruckman and I've been working on QA
for a bit now. One of the things I'm hoping to do is help spread the
word about Fedora's QA activities (as well as Fedora as a whole) and
thought helping out with the marketing end of things would be
beneficial.
I'm familiar with marketing and pretend to be a wordsmith in my free
time. Per talks in IRC I'll be posting some to the Magazine. I'll be
watching this list and piping up during meetings on IRC. I look forward
to working with you all!

Introducing Pete Travis to the Marketing group
by Pete Travis

Hi all,
I've threatened to contribute some content to Fedora magazine several
times, and have finally decided to get the ball rolling :)
I've been more or less involved with the project for a couple years now,
as I have time. For the most part, I hack on documentation and help on
IRC. Sometimes I offer opinions in community discussions, too.
I have only a vague awareness of marketing and branding concepts, so I
probably won't be bringing any big ideas to the group. I'd like to be
able to write an article for the Magazine from time to time, attend a
meeting on the off chance that I have time for it, and generally just
learn from the experience.

Today's meeting
by Ruth Suehle
My day's getting busy, and I may miss the meeting in an hour. If so, here's what I had to talk about, which largely has already been covered on-list:
- The cloud brochures are finished and on their way to LinuxCon Europe:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Marketing/Cloud_brochure
- The YouTube channel at youtube.com/fedoraproject has been reclaimed, and nitesh has volunteered to move the Flock videos over. I do think now we need to talk more about our video strategy and standards for video rather than upload anything and everything. (If you're on the video team list, I sent a message there to this effect last week.)

Magazine site issues
by Chris A. Roberts
Hi,
Over the weekend , the magazine site got the white screen of death. JZB is working with Openshift to get us more resources. It looks like the cause of this was the plugin Jetpack. Mitzie and I worked together to get the site back up and running. I am asking that we keep Jetpack turned off until we get more ram/hdd space to prevent further outages.
Thanks,
Chris Roberts

Create a spot for the magazine in the bottom of the wiki page. Need a png
made up - created design ticket 288 and assigned to tatica per her
request. After I receive the png I will update the main wiki page. I will
post updates on this ticket as I get them
