emails from the wordpress instance seem to not be working (IIRC, they have
never worked).
we have a feedback form that regularly gets comments, but we only see them
if someone goes into the feedback page in the admin interface.
i am pretty sure wordpress does send an email here, but for some reason
its not working.
it would also be nice to have emails if a new post is created.
cheers,
ryanlerch

#210: Magazine Categories - Reorganization?

It was mentioned in #fedora-mktg today about proposing changes to the
Magazine categories to something a bit more intuitive to readers. With the
advent of the Community Blog, the category of "For contributors" isn't as
useful, and as-is right now, the categories are fairly broad and loosely
defined.
We were wanting to discuss ideas for new, relevant categories that more
accurately target the type of material we're putting out. Ideas mentioned
were…
- Fedora News
- How-To
- Events
And so on. What are your thoughts and ideas on new categories?

I have an idea - maybe others can find it useful. I see lot of useful
printable marketing stuffs, but I would like to have them as a form of
repository, common place - that instead of hunting where can an ambassador
- the most actualized and legally allowed, freely printable marketing
stuff - find.
Basic concept is just have an single address or command (maybe dnf make
eventbox) that actually can create an "Eventbox", like copr, or sync-able
fedorapeople storage.
This way not only can solve problems that what can an ambassador take to
events and print it if necessary, else with this we can help mentors (like
me) to give new ambassadors a starter pack - to be able to have basic
easily printable fedora desk stuff.
To this way I would like to create some easily printable timeless A3 sized
posters, and put into the set some flyers, stickers set and such - but my
question is this:
What would you create to achieve this - and what would you put in this
event box? What would be the "poor man's" eventbox that actually you can
print and run an booth?
Eg. Foldable name plate to the desk, some foldable cd holder with some
artwork, generic foldable cd sleeves....

Fedora 20 was released. We need to go through what the universe has been
saying about it and check up the info.
The wiki page is already up:

I don't know if the planet has a way to handle multi-author blogs better
-- everything on the magazine gets posted as "Fedora Magazine (admin)". If
it does, that would be most ideal.
Failing that, let's at least change it so the graphic isn't the generic

https://flocktofedora.org/ gives an error because it is using the rhcloud
wildcard cert, not our own. We should be able to get a proper certificate
for this -- it seems important enough.

I'm slightly late on this. I intend to write 3 posts about the FUDCon:
1. A general post on the event that covers:
a. Introduction to a FUDCon
b. Past FUDCons in APAC, and around
c. General structure: workshops, lightening talks
d. Sessions that will be held, if available, include a schedule (need to
ask the organizers for information on this part)
2. Interview the event owners, primary organizers
3. Interview some Fedora community folks that are attending the FUDCon

We have a plenty of new upcoming or already running awesome service, but
most of them are unknown to the public. It would be a great marketing bomb
to create mail, or a page where we gather and keep alive in front of the
public most of them, and strengthen the image little bit that we are the
developers and engineers distro. I think here the introduction of
developer assistant, tito, copr, pulp, katello, and more. Have a page with
out project, and project logos, and include this within the Fedora.NEXT
changes.
I propose also to contact with Chris Fisher (ChrisLAS
jupiterbroadcasting.com) Matt or with Matt Hartley (Datamotion writer, and
co-host of the LAS), and ask an full show that makes it able for us to
cooperate together, and gain more contributors. As Linux Action Show is
one of the most popular video podcasts, we can gain a lot of people, and
high interest.
